Testimonials

Emma Guest-Consales, PhD, recent graduate of  USA Tour Pros, conducted an outstanding tour of the architecture and history of several areas of NYC, including Washington Square, Chinatown, Little Italy, The “Village” and SoHo’s famouscast iron district. Emma did so for our group of tour professionals who were participating in our weekend test preparation seminar to become licensed NYC Sightseeing Guides.

Ms. Guest-Consales’s expert knowledge of history and the various types of architecture was explained with charming detail and stories, and her passion for and love of her work never waned during this several-hour tour.

The answers and explanations that Emma (USA Tour Pros NYC-certified in 2010) gave about everything from the Bayard-Condict building to the Triangle Shirtwaist factory – and everything between and beyond – not only were beneficial in several instances for our tour pros while they were answering test questions, but simply fascinating to hear: the City became more personal while being seen through the eyes of our expert. As a VP and a trainer for USA Tour Pros, I can attest to Emma Guest-Consales being an excellent leader and teacher of our group. We hope her schedule will find room for us in the future for this enjoyable and informative tour again!

Emma Guest-Consales was retained by my company, USA Tour Pros, to provide an in-depth, 4-hour, architectural/historical tour of Washington Square Park, Greenwich Village, SoHo, Little Italy and Chinatown. Not only did she impress our Tour Pros with little-known facts about cast-iron construction and the differences in many architectural styles, she made herself available throughout our lunch-break time to continue her lecture. Emma had earned her USA Tour Pros NYC Certification from us in 2010 so we wanted to use one of our own graduates to show-off the quality of the Tour Pros we’ve worked with to better present NYC. Emma’s years as a professor are a HUGE selling point in establishing our product as the best NYC Tour Pro Training program available. The perceived value-added derived from Emma’s involvement  was immediately recognized by all of our participants.

In fact, many commented following their successful passing of the NYC Sightseeing Guide Exam that it was Emma’s personal tour that helped them ace the architecture questions!

We hope to be able to use Emma in the future to augment our training program!

Grazie Dr.ssa Guest

I got the best Met tour I’ve ever had!

NYC tours customized the tour according to my preferences: I had a cultured, bilingual art historian (with a sense of humor) guide me through the museum and take me to exactly what I wanted to see. The tour was so enlightening, I will definetely rebook again soon!
