Lofts to Tenaments: Soho, Little Italy, and Chinatown
The great 19th century commercial district that developed SOuth of HOuston Street is unique for the large number of cast-iron building façades that survive. Once the heart of manufacturing in New York, in later decades it became famous as the home to modern artists. Today SoHo is still a bustling commercial zone. The tour will continue through Little Italy, where we can enjoy authentic Italian cuisine and products, to conclude in Chinatown at one of the oldest traditional Chinese pharmacies in New York.
